Dr. Leland says
"I joined Lakeshore Bone & Joint Institute, formerly Valparaiso Orthopedic Clinic, 21 years ago. My experience spans the full spectrum of orthopedics, though pediatric orthopedics, sports medicine and reconstructive hip surgery continue to be areas of particular interest. I also participate with Healing the Children and performing reconstructive surgery on underprivileged, crippled children from around the world.

My family is from Northwest Indiana. I am the fourth generation to have worked for American Oil Company. I met my wife, Dr. Cindy Leland, while she was completing her medical school training in Grand Rapids. My three sons are all active in sports and I enjoy music, gardening and sailing. My wife is an anesthesiologist who manages to keep the whole family organized and tells me where I'm supposed to be each day."
